Highlight: Mahesh Chhetri and Binod Das included, As many as 7 front line seamers in the list.
Cricket Association of Nepal revealed 22 players for closed camps ACC Emerging Nations Cup to be played in Singapore this August.
The squad also includes wicket keeper Mahesh Chhetri and former captain and head coach of National Cricket Academy Binod Das.
The fast bowling concerns seemed high yet again as the selectors have as many as 7 genuine fast bowlers- Amrit Bhattarai, Ramnaresh Giri, Jitendra Mukhiya, Chandra Sawad, Yagyaman Kumal, Binod Das and Avinash Karn. Ram Naresh Giri and Jitendra Mukhiya were part of Nepal ACC T20 Cup team as Reserve players.
The 22-member squad includes Paras Khadka, Gyanendra Malla, Sharad Vesawkar, Amrit Bhattarai, Shakti Gauchan, Basanta Regmi, Sanjam Regmi, Binod Bhandari, Pradeep Airee, Prithu Baskota, and Subash Khakurel.

Sagar Pun and Naresh Budayer are also included in the list. Naresh is currently in England training with Marleybone Cricket Club. Rajesh Pulami who is training along with Naresh is axed from the list.
Nepal will be one of 8 teams in the tournament placed along with Afghanistan, India U23 and Pakistan U23. Nepal will face Afghanistan in the first match of the tournament on August 17. The closed camp will start 10th of July. The closed camp is set to start without the coach Pubudu. Sources have revealed that the first phase of the camp would be merely fitness sessions. TU Ground and Satdobato shooting hall (in case of rain) have been picked as possible training spots.
End of a career for Mehboob?
All rounder Mehboob Alam is excluded from the side yet again. He hasn't been picked for the National Squad for over one and half years now. He last featured in the red and blue jearse in the World T20 Qualifiers where he had a disappointing performance with just 34 runs off 7 matches and no wicket as well.
Alam made his debut in National side in 2000 and was probably of the most popular player- devastating with the bat and ball. With age getting better of him the world record holder as the only person to take 10 wickets in ICC Sanctioned One Day International doesn't seem to have the flair to impress the selectors. Many believed when Alam was dropped for the first time from Nepal's Division IV squad that he would make a comeback. But to the despair of Alam fans with back to back rejection his international career is near end.
