Amrit Bhattarai replaces Prithu Baskota in Nepal's squad for the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014

The ICC has confirmed that the Event Technical Committee of the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014 has approved Amrit Bhattarai as a replacement player for Prithu Baskota in the Nepal squad for the tournament that will be staged in Bangladesh from 16 March to 6 April.
Baskota is suffering from a knee injury, which he picked up during the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2014 in New Zealand.
21-year-old Bhattarai has represented Nepal at the U19 level and also played in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier UAE 2013. He is right-handed batsman and left-arm fast bowler.
The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee before the replacement player can be officially added to the squad.
The Event Technical Committee of the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014 consists of Geoff Allardice (ICC, chairman), Campbell Jamieson (IDI representative),  Mahbubul Anam BCB Director), Khaled Mahmud Sujan (BCB Director and former captain), Russel Arnold – (independent nominee) and Pommie Mbangwa (independent nominee).
